Sevier, first governor of Tennessee. It was sold for division among heirs in 1871 to grandson Frank Alexander. Sold to J. M. Drake in 1915.4 He married Martha Ferguson, daughter of John Ferguson and Jane (?), circa 1800.5,6 John Alexander served in the War of 1812 in the East Tennessee Militia, under Col. Allison and Capt. McCray.7
